Default Identical 8800GT's. Why the price difference?

I'm not computer illiterate by any means but this has always confused me.
Why do the same type video cards with the exact same details priced different?
Take these two.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150280
Both great brands.
Both lifetime warranties.
Same clock speeds.
Same memory.

Why is the EVGA more expensive?
Is it more easily clockable?
Does it have a better heatsink and fan?
EVGA's step up program?
Is its GPU better than that of the XFX 8800 and is not in details or something?

Someone please elaborate.
Thanks.

I am no computer guy per say but I just purchased a new video card a few weeks ago, and pretty much from what I was told is your paying for the brand. Evga is pretty much the top maker in many eyes, good product, service etc. Also Evga has a trade up program that "Most" makers do not. Basically up to 90 days after purchase you can trade up to a better card by sending your card in and paying the difference.

Also If you go with either I would recommend buying a after market heatsink. They run hot by nature but if you want it to live for awhile it's the way to go. 70-80c stock vs 35-50c aftermarket hs.

Default Size matters?

Well, maybe EVGA figures their card is worth more. Or maybe XFX just priced their card to undercut the competition. The only difference I really see is that the EVGA does not take up as much space as the XFX, which has the cooler sticking out quite a bit.

EVGA is a better brand name. Just like Americas Choice in supermarkets.

from a quick glance, the XFX card has a custom heatsink+fan (ZALMANs are pretty good actually)

XFX has an after market cooler and has a lifetime warranty.
Ive had nothing but good products from them...
But why it cost less is beyond me.

XFX cards have a tendency to blow up, but since both offer a lifetime warranty, I see no problem going with the cheaper
