was totally looking for a guild but i'm about as RP as the real world tv show. didin't know this was an unofficial rp server. any none rp guilds out there ?

It's an unofficial status, so yeah I'd say there are plenty of non-RP guilds, or at the least RP-friendly guilds that don't require RP.

So far, it's a great group of people. =)

well I'm enjoying myself. and don't mind so much the RP aspects of video games( mind you staying in charactor is hard), but i come with a group of pals that would laugh at me for playing RP. they gave up on the PVP servers, due to lack of them ganking and not being ganked.


anyway anyone know of a decent guild (light RP), wiith some good numbers? i'll be playing alot, and wouldn't mind a good guild core to chat with

There's a sticky at the top of the Wiccana forum that has tons of guilds in it. It may take a bit but go through that. You will find that a high number of guilds is not RP-Motivated and 'RP-Friendly' at max, which means they respect it if any of their members want to RP.

Quite honestly, I prefer "non-official rp servers".

The players there tend to be more friendly than on other types of servers. On official rp servers, the rp nazis come out. On non-rp servers you take your chances with a higher rate of immature fools (age-wise or mentally).

I believe Jericho is probably the server's largest guild if that is what you are looking for.

Both my guild (see signature below) and the Indigo guild I will personally vouch for, and neither are RP.

There are also several others in the sticky thread at the top of the forum, and that post recruiting threads periodically.

Anyway I tend to enjoy unofficial RP servers because they tend to have more mature players as opposed to a PVE server. I enjoy the occasional RP but sometimes it's just too hard to accomplish certain things in character. So therefore I hope this server will continue to be unofficial so that we have the option to turn that RP switch on and off without being flamed for being OOC.

Depends on what you imagine roleplaying to be. If roleplaying to you means that every character has to have an elaborate, soap opera plot going on; and that you use brackets to carefully distinguish in and out of character statements - yeah, that sounds like a hassle too.

For me, at least, role playing means giving each character a distinctive personality, beliefs, and style. I like to use battle cries and a number of banter macros in vicinity text to give each of my characters an individual repertoire of sayings.

First off, they'd not make an established server into an official rp server after launch unless server populations were dwindling.

Secondly, if anything, they would add an additional server designated as the official RP server. In which case, with your attitude, no one here would shed any tears if you left.

And finally, perhaps you could give us all a hint if you are RP'ing an azzhat or if you naturally have that much flatulence pouring forth from that blow hole in your face.
