Default Ok, wth did you do FC....

I have had a inactive account due to this games flaws.

Now i log in to *Test* the patch to see if its worth while.

AND ZOMG WEE! put it this way.

Vista 64bit 2gigs ddr2 and i could NOT crash the client! slammin to 93% ram use and still sittin on 30-110!fps!!!!

Grats Funcom! you did a Perfect patch imo. loads of stuff done and a stable client.

now if Windows will just let go of the ram usage and let AoC close after i shutdown the game. I don't like having to CTRL+ALT+Delete to close the game :P

i know i need moar ramz! BUT!!!!

/bow to Funcom, great patch guys. Keep pushing quality like this and you will /win!

I haven't had issues running 2 Gigs of ram. It sounds to me like you have too many applications running at once. Try thinning out your running tasks and then run the game. That should improve your performance even more. <---- just a tip.

He is not having problems LOL. He is happy to play and NOT crash for once. At least that is the way I read it.

This is absolutely Typical of Vista 64 bit when running AOC and only AOC and there is nothing you can do about it but upgrade. However if performance is better that is good.

I have 4 gigs of Ram on Vista 64 now and AOC + Vista 64 alone routinely climbs up to 2.8-3.2 GM Ram usage. After a while I still have to relog for me its worse than pre-patch but only minorly.

I stopped having to use Ctl+Alt+Del to close out AOC, when I stopped letting the 30 sec timer log out of the game. Just hit the close now option when the timer starts. Hope that helps.

Very good to hear guys. We still have more issues to address with hardware aspects but we are really starting to crush them. We do have a new guy working on the head of technical aspects and thus far I think it's going in the right direction.

the issue i am having is when closing AoC, it doesn't let go of the ram and the process is still up. i've never let it try to shut itself off. i have always had to CTRL+ALT+Delete to get the game to shut down. But it is Great to hear that this kind of stuff that needed to happen has and will continue.

Using Windows XP 32bit here, and there has been a huge improvement in stability since the big patch! When the game launched, I was getting crashes/gray maps/OOM errors, then I lowered my audio hardware acceleration one notch... the OOM's went away for about a month. They came back with a vengeance in the patch about 2 months ago, and I was getting OOM crashes about every 60-90 minutes, and a lot of lock-ups, especially right after an OOM crash. Since the 9-17 patch, I have not seen a single gray map or OOM error yet! WTG
