And DT does not use wisdom for magic damage builds?
He is asking to be able to CHOOSE as player what gear would suit his build, class and playstyle best and not let others decide it for him. Should be common sense, imo. If you add a token system and still offer the same linear things, it makes no sense and is just additional grind. Appeal of a token system is, that players can decide and go for rather unusual combinations as well, whatever suits THEM.
Besides...what you think or what funcom thinks is a "class" weapon does not always make sense or is balanced...
With token systems, more choice is always good.
Apart from the already mentioned things from others, there are many more examples where "class" weapons make no sense, since more than one class uses the same stats or mechanics (offhand for conq/barbs/ranger, 2he swords with armor and strength for hox, conq, barb...2hb for bear shamans, conqs and barbs ...any magic damage based talisman/ring/necklace/armor piece for casters and hox/dt...etc. etc.).
The weapons are there, the shops are there, the tokens are there. Tier balance is there somehow...Now all is needed is some little change in some editor to make them all buyable.
