Thread: World boss for March? At work...where's the beef?

If you are going to be playing the game for a full year, as a lvl 80, then why wouldn't you want to go sub? FTP should be for those who want to try out the game or dabble in the game but not pay to sub: if you want high end content or to do the bigger dungeons you are going to have to pay anyway.

15/month about pays for one night at the movies with a drink and maybe a candy bar, if you don't want 3D in my area. Probably not the candy bar or popcorn, though, come to think of it.

So actually it might not be worth complaining that there are premium bosses. It is just bad design imo to put up more than one in a row AND to make subbing the only way to access them.

I would not consider 4-5 months later "a little time"...and not even counting in that some players have a real life schedule too, that might force them to skip a boss or two. And i assume, the longer the bosses run, the less hype and interest there will be.
It's unfair that premium users pays for developers and f2p participate from part of that development

A 12 month membership costs you €6,30 each month (45% discount!). The stupidest thing you do is pay month for month.

Month for month is not stupid, as some changes in your guild/game/RL can make you leave Age of Conan really fast. I know some people that bought offers for a year and not played more than 5 months.
I go always for 3 to 6 months offers. I hope there will be new offers soons as my sub will finish after the WB frenzy.

That is one approach, yes. But for it you just need a good demo/trial version. But if you invest in an ingame shop, the model should be different to open more than one path of revenue, shouldn't it?
You can have standard differences (or restrictions) for example...then offer per shop temporary or/and permanent unlocks etc.. These "products" make no sense (or are rather unattractive), if high priced and penalized compared to a sub. On the other hand they can be used for customized game access with maybe in total more revenue than just a sub model, because you target a broader audience than those who can/want to sub. This was part of my point

    "World events

Three down, nine to go. The Twelve Portents continue their monthly attacks on Hyboria, and this time terror shakes the world as the Prophets of the Serpent Men rise to summon their terrible master. The events have been great so far, with players banding together (or fighting for supremacy) as they battle gigantic creatures. If you haven’t participated yet, I recommend jumping in, anybody past Tortage can participate and there are rewards for everybody and plenty of fun to be had!"

I don't really see how a lvl 19 character (just past Tortage) is going to be able to get to Dragonspine and run the gauntlet of mobs to get to the WB without a lot of help. And can you even get to DS at lvl 19? I don't know if there is a minimum from khemi.

Or is there another spawn point that no one has found? I went to the kheshatta arena this morning but it was empty: figured the previous response to my first post was just a joke...but whoknows.

F2P can get the cloak without ever stepping into Khitai or Dragons Spine, etc. They just take more months to complete killing 12 bosses from the list of bosses available in the F2P zones.

I got there on my 50 alt earlier today. Guess it's the same as a lvl 19, except with the slow mount. In any case, it was a pain, with two spots in between the entrance and the Slithering Chaos boss spot where mobs wait in ambush... Got there in the end by taking the long way around, but I died several times.

Your best bet is pretty much to go right after some lvl 80 so that the mobs chase him and ignore you. Happens all by itself when instances fill up, but I guess your best bet is to ask a friendly soul/guildie to escort you.

link or something. Guess it won't work with the AoC-UI-Installer?
