As mentioned last week the production team is now largely focusing on the expansion content. One of the areas that we are looking at in detail at this stage is the items and the itemization. With a key goal of the expansion being to ensure that we offer that variety in armor and visual looks that many felt were missing in the original game this is an area that we are paying quite a lot of attention too. All of the faction armors are now done and complete, those alone account for twenty unique sets, and then we also have a series of other armors available for the different armor types (with a host of color variants for those as well!) that we haven't shown yet … and that's before we get to the raid sets.

We are actually faced with a slight challenge in deciding how to distribute that amount of armor ... even before we get to the weapons, jewelry, consumables or other items you will be able to collect throughout the expansion. We will be revealing a lot more on his, with the details of the decisions we have made there being the basis for the March letter from the Game Director which should come after the GDC conference. Yes, teasing the contents of the March letter when you are just getting the February one is a touch evil, but it is an important topic and one we know will interest people so we wanted to give you a heads up that you will definitely get to hear about it!
