I recently visited the European AoC forums (seems like I don't need a forum account to access it) and noticed Many posts on the Assassin boards reporting a problem with Female Assassins' Attack Speed/Dmg Output.

I think it's safe to assume that the European Version of AoC is similar to the American one, and I'm curious as to why there're no posts on the US boards reporting this problem

IF this is true, could this be why some players find Assassins VERY underpowered, whereas others simply find them (despite issues with stealth/survivability) a tough class to play?

(If this is known to be an EU only problem, then I apologise for my mistake)

Further, certain directional attacks on female sins are faster than others, and all are faster while moving.


Mind blowing. Congrats to those of us rolling the most bugged thing possible in game.

Well lets not turn this into a thread about overall Assassin power levels.

Back to topic: IF female Assassin attack speed/dmg output is bugged, then this is a MAJOR issue which Funcom needs to address

It's undeniably bugged.
Roll 2 lvl 1s, male and female of same race.

Time 20 seconds of a single directional attack (up left for example). Count how many hits you landed during the 20 seconds.

It will look like this
Male: 27 landed.
Female: 15 landed.

It will also vary depending on the direction (wtf further), and if you're moving (where females catch up slightly, but that hardly helps anything...).

Damn ... how many of those 27 male hits were for the offhand?

Because when you consider dagger attack speed (1.20s) Assassins should be doing Less than 20 attacks in 20s. Unless you dealt ~10 offhand hits, this means that MALE assassin attack speed is too fast.

Which means ... incoming nerf? Lol

uhh, zero? few? I'd have to actually get in game and test it again and post combat log screens. There are many tests done in other threads.

Female dagger speed is listed as 1.46
You're telling me males are listed at 1.20? I didn't even notice that. wow again....

Yes, or at least my daggers are listed as 1.20

male: 19-20 hits for all directions (upper right / left / middle)

female: 10-11 for upper right, 11-12 for middle, 12-13 for upper left"

Claims extend beyond attack speed differences - male assassins can activate combos faster and deal more dmg on all attacks.
