Just wanted to share that a level 38 ranger 1 shot me at level 46 without untaimed regeneration up, and all other buffs on.

Whatever I was hit with hit me for ~1900 damage which is around 600 more than i have health


Edit: 8 not 38 lolz.

I think at this point people understand that the Rangers are obscenely overpowered for PvP. It'll all get worked out eventually. I hope.

No, frankly it isnt rangers that are the problem. A lot of class can do burst dmg like that, even guardians can 1-2 shot mages/healers.

Why?

1. We have **** hp. Frankly its pathetic even at L80. Less than half compared to rangers/barbs, and much less than soldiers. This is simply too low when you consider the following..

2. Crap armor, medium armor on BS without a shield = leather armor + shield. All mages and healer types are very weak vs physical dmg.

So combine 1 and 2 together and anyone can 1-2 shot these classes.

At level 18 I got hit by a 20 ranger for 1700+. I kid you not. Its either a bug or some extreme imbalance. That kind of damage is retarded. Its over 4x my max hp. This other ranger 1 shot me with a "fatality" wtf is that? One arrow just instantly killed me, no damage just insta death. That is dumb. Dumb dumb dumb.

We can actually do the same thing right back. Lucky crits hurt, whoever's dishing them out.

Make sure you have 5 points in Improved Spirit of the Bear, btw, it's mandatory for PVP. At lvl 50 it gives you about +400 health.

If I can knock somebody back with Clobber in my opening hit with my 32 Barbarian as long as they aren't a highly defensive class I can take them out without getting a scratch on me.

It's not just Rangers that can do stuff like that. There's a number of classes that can.

Rangers just get most of the hate as at earlier levels they dominate in PvP. They are most certainly not invincible though, no class is.

Yes, I find the lack of hit points frustrating too.

You know the really frustrating part is our hp buff. Think about it...

We get a hp buff, which can spend 5 feat points to increase... which is a self only hp buff. So you'd think we'd have more hps... but no.

Instead they artifically start us at a super low amount of hps. So we're forced to spend points to improve the buff so we aren't handicapped. So really we'd be better off if they never gave us a hp buff and gave us something else because the only reason we start with such low hps is because we'll be able to buff it in the future.

At level 44 right now I SELF buff less hps then a level 35 ToS guildy, who buffs hps for GROUP and doesn't spend ANY feats on it.
