Default AOC Online UI Builder

AGE OF
CONAN
ONLINE UI BUILDER

----------------------------------------------------------------------
LINK --> www.aocuibuilder.com <-- LINK
or
LINK --> www.aoconlineuibuilder.com <-- LINK
----------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------
TIPS USING THE BUILDER
-----------------------------------------------------

You can Click anywhere in the black outside the builder. Then Hold the Control key and Scroll your Mouse wheel to enlarge or reduce the size of the builder.

You can also Right - Click inside the UI frame to Zoom in and Out. When zooming out use "show all".

You can use your Keyboards Arrow keys to move around the selected items as well as drag them with your Mouse.

To show buff timers for your buffs increase buff size within the builder to size 31+.

*note - Using xp bars in-game will lift up everything aligned bottom of screen by 12 pixels (ie, bottom bars and portrait frames).

But the floating buff bar won't raise up because it is aligned top of screen.

Move the floating buff bar up 12 pixels if you plan to put it near any aligned bottom items and use an xp bar.

--------------------------------------------------
SHARING YOUR BUILD
-----------------------------------------------------

Click the Link build at the bottom left corner of the UI screen.

A new page will open, allowing you to bookmark your build, or copy the link to share.

*note - You can share your build with friends who do NOT use your same resolution. Your friends can change the resolution themselves, and make any adjustments needed.

--------------------------------------------------
UI INFORMATION
-----------------------------------------------------

BOTTOM BARS

- In addition to the visible bars within the builder, there are also two more in-game moveable bars up to 30 slots each.

*note - Hotkeys do not work on the floating bars, although they display hotkeys. It is a bug.

PORTRAIT FRAMES

- In addition to the visible portrait frames within the builder, there is also an option to enable in-game moveable portrait frames, by typing /options in your chat box.

- There is also an option to use a full view moveable portrait frame as Target of Target, or a smaller floating one.

MONSTER TYPES

- Monster types are shown as a bar to the right of the Target frame, and work as the picture shows. A "G" or an "R" will appear for Group and or Raid Monsters.

CAST BARS

- The cast bars have been designed to fit over the name display within the portrait frames.

- You can un-hide / un-lock them by typing /options in your chat box. Move them to cover the name display for each portrait box, then lock / hide them.

LATENCY METER

- The Latency Meter is located to the left of the Player portrait and looks like the Target's Monster Type.

- It will change colors based on Latency, and display FPS information on Mouse Over.

MENU OPTIONS

- Type /options in your chat box to pull up an Options Menu.

Some systems may report the installer did not install correctly.

This is usually just an error on how the system expected the installer to work. Commonly caused by Windows User Account Control settings.

To make sure the error you recieve is in fact false, simply login the game and look at your ui. If all is well, then you know you can always use the installer.

---

If for some reason the installer is not installing the UI at all then...

You have to copy the Customized folder to your Funcom/Age of Conan/Data/Gui folder

and

You have to copy the scripts folder to your Funcom/Age of Conan folder

After any patch the aocuibuilder.com will be updated, simply "Link this build" and add it to your favorites. This will allow you to re-download the same CustomUI again, after a patch.

If for some reason aocuibuilder.com is down, or has not been updated, any of these patcher's can be used to update your UI.

What happens if I install it with a different resolution?
The resolution you choose within the builder is a visual refference only, and has little effect on the UI you produce.

For example, the bottom bars are aligned bottom and center on all resolutions, and moving them left or right simply adds to or subtracts from this point.

The resolution is so you can see a relation to how far your moving things left and right in the builder, to how they will look in game, this also apply's to moving things up & down.

With that said, pick the resolution closest to your in-game one, and if things need to be adjusted, go back and make the adjustments.

Link your Build to make it easier to make only the adjustments you need.

Interesting concept (and execution)!

I'll definitely keep an eye on this. Great Job!

But I understand there needs to be more options.

This won't work for my playstyle. I am using a 4 bar UI right now, and still have the sidebars being used.

Small bug: if you move the unitframes, then switch the position of the minimap the unitframes will reset.

I like it so far, but the keymappings not matching other ui's is an issue, im having to remap all the control options to get the 3x17 layout to work how the 3x17 stonerune ui maps by default. The biggest issue is the lower right and lower left attack keys being way off to the side and not with the other directional attacks.

edit: just realized I have to redo the bars for all 5 of my toons *cries*

Had to shift all keybinds down about 8 slots on the control menu, luckily just once:

Then had to turn messes like this:
http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4...picture004.png

Into something like this:
http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/4...picture005.png

Five times over. =/

All of the bars I created are bound from top left to bottom right, so when you open the controls window, you simply go down the list typing... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,q,w,e,r,t,y,u,i,o,pa,s,d,f,g etc in complete order of your keyboard.

Why stonerune and other mods decided to make your keys all over the place is beyond me, but mine go in order simple simple.

In stonerune you can have two boxes next to echother but the keybinds could be 20 keys away in the control panel... mine are exactly like the appear on screen is the way they are bound... you should never ned to go searching through all your keybinds to figure out which bind is next to the one you just bound.... although I know the rest of the modsw just slapped keys in anywhere they would fit in know order.
They probly do it that way because it's also the way the default ui is ordered? I've never had to rebind for another ui before. =O

Might be because I use a game pad, my keybinds look odd because I configure them for:

http://www.gaming-keyboard.com/wp-co...g-keyboard.jpg

I took the binds the game gives me and replaced them key by key to work better with my setup, but so visually everythings still arranged how the default UI is.
