Losing raiders
Are a lot of guilds out there losing guildies and raiders due to the patch?

Every day I log in there are 1-2 more Goodbye posts on our guild site. Not sure I really blame them, my attendance is lackluster as well. We were just starting into BRC after months and months of building a stable raider base and learning the T1 bosses. We were excited to FINALLY be in Wing 1.
Now where are we? Back in flippin Yak and Vistrix relearning, again. I didn't mind it the first time! I hate doing it again. Every raid fewer and fewer are showing up. Between conq resses, tank aggro and inadequate heals.... it isn't fun anymore. It was a challenge the first time, now it's just like being kicked in the face, back down to T1 with you folks!

We couldn't even fill our raid tonight. I've never seen that.

This is only the beginning..You can thank Craig and his team for that one..If they listened to the playerbase, and feedback given by them, This game wouldn't be in the state its in.
I was in the same boat as you before I retired..Game Director decisions slowly took guildmates from us till the numbers were nill to none.

I have not seen anyone questing in a few days maybe more. I like running into other players , but not recently.

Don't know what you are talking about. In fact, it seems there are more people now. Check the Commons maybe?
All the raids I've been in seem to fill up pretty fast, and we don't get short-handed till wayy late at night and we decide to quit.
I think it has improved.

The only reason our guild has lost players is because they are getting in trouble with their wives for playing too much AoC.
Yes, I think the changes have been good. Our guild has only done a little raiding, mainly because "server downtime" is smack-bang in the middle of our usual raiding time.
We did our first post 1.05 Wing 1 raid last night with many first time BRC players.
To us, it feels like:
Vistrix has more armour. Adds possibly have less hitpoints. Everything else the same. This adjustment is fine.
Yakhmar wormlings have more armour. Tougher to get time to DPS on the boss unless you perfectly root, bunch up, and burn the adds down every time - which is not guarunteed because the worms can spawn quite far apart from eachother. Takes more effort, yet again, this adjustment is also fine.
Kylikki - Champion has more armour, fight lasts longer. Kylikki seems easier, casters didn't seem to charm anymore. Champion adjustment is fine, Kylikki adjustment is fine too considering it's a beginner raid.
Gargoyle Master gargoyle statues feel tougher, harder to take down. Gargoyle Master in his second phase seems easier, usually this part is painful to tank but with the new aggro management abilities its a little nicer to do. Getting stoned is now 5 minutes down from 15! hooray.
Yarmeka seems identical to before, maybe even slightly less armour. We didn't try to silence the dot because we heard that that doesn't work anymore, but out of curiousity next time we'll give it a go.
Sabazios - no longer a loot pinata. We gave him 2 attempts last night before our guildies had to go to sleep (we started raiding later than usual). Snakes are now epic... we are trying to work out how Funcom has intended this encounter to go. We ran in somewhat expecting it to be a tiny bit harder and were suprised when we got overwhelmed by snakes. Then we tried again and managed to get one of the snake spawn points down to about 50% before we wiped. I'm sure we'll learn how to do it properly on our next attempt.
The sky isn't falling. We haven't had to adjust our raid strategies much at all - except for Sabazios - but he was free loot before and everyone knew his encounter needed adjusting. People are complaining about re-learning raid strats... why?

Think it depends on how hardcore the player is.
I have a life and a family to tend to. Guess raiding since patch 1.05 was not made for those types of players.
Raids feel very WoW now, where only dedicated players who either have a guild that has no life or the player themselves have no life or family can run these raids over and over to learn all of the new strats.
We also can throw in bugginess to the raids, red line spike lags, classes having to relearn (Conqs...poor Conqs and all tanks too...), that the fun has finally left raiding.
Myself, I play AoC for fun. Guess it is back to leveling my alt.

I use to blog about AoC, but the games unpolished code and issues just make me not want to blog about her anymore...Now I discuss Funcom!

QA polish NEEDS to happen soon.
Do not ignore Xfire for how well AoC is doing, the trend there matches the game pops...(notice, Free Return = Charts go up)

Age average for my guild is like 30 years old, with break times in the raid when the kids are having nightmares. No life?
You are complaining for nothing really. Guilds that had T1 in farm mode, still got them in farm mode. Those that were still adjusting... are now still adjusting.
Pugs will be harder for a while, and guilds full of grown up babies that are used to their routine and can't do otherwise will quit too. But plenty of people are still doing them, heck, some of them are finding it easy. Why not raise to the challenge instead?

Anytime some sort of event was going on, we actually had to turn away some people. In fact the last 3 sieges ive been in we got more than 48 people together for. Luckily only the first 2 crashed
