I'm still reading through the very long patch note. Nice to see some, actually, a LOT of class tweaks. Oh, and Pitch Pot now works.

Looking forward to it.

Some updates that I like the most:
* When you are in a playfield that is too high level for you, you will receive a debuff called Free Prey. While this debuff is on you, attackers are free to kill you without being penalized with criminal status or murder points.
* Shield of the Risen has been changed to make resurrection pads safer. It will now not time out if you are within close distance to a resurrection pad, unless you perform a hostile action or get hit by an NPC.
* Murderer Resurrection Points have been added, and are marked on the minimap. Murderers can only rez at these locations. Other players cannot see murderer rez points unless they are also murderers.

A bit disturbing...
Can't change stance while stunned/feared?
That means no more fighting in frenzy.
Go into frenzy= stun= 1shot= dead

Conquerors really do not need a nerf.

* A number of clickable abilities have had their criteria checks changed to no longer allow them to be used while affected by crowd control abilities

Oh my...

And double oh my:

* Added a 6 second internal cooldown to the double-tap backwards Evasion buff.

And even more oh my:

* Immunity buffs will now, in general, last a bit less time, since they are applied at the start of the crowd control, and not at the end.
* It is no longer possible to apply a new crowd control debuff of the same type before the previous one runs out and immunity has been applied.

WOOT!

* Guards should now aggro the attacker even if the victim has a damage shield active.

And HAHAHAH:

Nope but that's what they are getting. After a few rounds in kesh i already am considering rolling a ToS not bothering getting this guy to 80

FC i gotta know what is the point of this? We have stated time and again the problems with this class. While i know these are potentials.

I have personally stated several of the problems yet none of these seem to be addressed.

Conqs have 2 changes coming...neither of them significant nor an improvement. While some of the general changes are useful it does not deal with major issues. Here is one.

Take our existing formations and make them useful!

Instead of more stacked stats, give us snare breaks , fear clears, and "de-stuns".

This falls in line with the very purpose of a conqueror, that sets us apart from other classes, we must lead groups into battle past the obstacles they will face.


I hear conqs asking for more CC, by Mitra, every class is! If there is any more CC in this game we'll all have to learn to PvP standing still.

Do you think melee is borked? One root from a ToS and you die? This change would make one hesitate if they thought you may be grouped with a conqueror.

Our class should be the class that "clears" CC and pushes groups beyond it when they would otherwise be halted.


A group behind a conqueror knows no fear, and is not easily stunned as may be expected of a leaderless grunt.

Make our formations clear snares, fear, and stuns.
Furious inspiration should not be the pathetic thing it currently is.

Furious inspiration. Good idea bad implementation: My fixes. Triple the healing rate on FI decrease the respawn timer to 3 minutes instead of 5 and have it proc on every 2h combo once the player takes the right feat. (right now it only ever seems to proc on batter aside)

Damage: While i understand some issues with this the fact is the conq should have the ability to do some significant damage. Through either heal negation or straight up damage.

Please. Use this chance to address the conqueror's growing list of issues and restore some of his viability in pvp.

I think a lot of people will apperciate this one.

* Fixed the OOC chatgroup; you can now talk to any players in any instance of the same playfield you are currently in.

I'm suspecting FC will not be working on class balancing issues until they

1) Polish the game, such as typos, tooltips fixes and other simple bugs.
2) Release the new content patch
3) Release the 2nd stage of the PvP patch.

This is another giant step in the right direction.

This one is pretty big too:

* Lacheish Plains, Poitain, and Purple Lotus Swamp have some new NPCs that allow you to unlearn tradeskills. These NPCs can be found near the resurrection slabs in the NPC villages.


There's a whole bunch of good stuff in the notes. With the merges increasing the population per server and these much needed fixes, the game is definitely getting back on track. I'm getting that pre-launch AoC excitement back....
