OK i bought Warhammer, played it for a few days got a few characters in their high teens, and i have to say Warhammer was a Total diappointment and EPIC failure. I'm coming back to Conan to stay. The Graphics on warhammer are HORRIBLE!!! they look 10 times worse than WOW which was released years ago. The game is semi-fun at first, but you soon see its a total wow rip off. It has a few origional and cool aspects, but nothing astounding. I am going to keep my account going for my little kids to play because age of conan has mature themes. So thats my verdict. Older people stick with AOC. Let your kids play warhammer.

Notice the WAR bandwagon has died out, and all that is left is gloat-threads. My guess is they either can't post from cancelled account, or have nothing to say anymore. I have no doubt that a lot of people are going to make WAR their game - BUT - these are DAoC and Games Workshop fans, and would anyway. Everyone else is starting to [/facepalm] over how they took the hype and rode it. No different then what happened to Tabula Rasa hype, AoC hype, and soon to be Aion/SGW/Star Trek hype.

Here we go... I think we all expected this... WAR will bleed tons of people over the next months... And WAR trolling starts to pick up with exponantial intensity on all forums out there.

I just hope this does not mean we evnetually will get all the trolls back here... Welcome back anyway (not suggesting you are a troll), but mark my words.. This thread is not the first of it's kind and there will be manymany more.

New game releases have always been discussed on any given MMOs message board.

Even way back in the day on the EQ boards every single MMO release was discussed to death, SWG being the first i can remember.

Well I have to say about a quarter of my guild that went to War is already back after just a few freaking days. I am kind of surprised. I knew War looked like crap and probably wasn't my cup of tea. But I am surprised so many people have left already. Of course there are still quite a few more people from my guild on there, and some will undoubtedly stay. But from the complaints I have heard, bad graphics, stiff animations, repetitive play style and quests, chaotic sessions with everyone running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. I have likened it to Battlefield 1942, good pvp, fun to play, but you play the same maps over and over. So far I see it has sold 800,000 with 1.5 million units in stores. So they will retain some of that base. I think there are enough customers to keep both games alive and successful. I don't get the fanboys for either side. Unless you're drawing a paycheck from the company, why root for it? (I do think some people on here are Mythic planted trolls through) I think I will stick with this one because of the potential. It has it's problems most definitely, but I think it is getting there. With new management and the Pvp patches, things are looking up. Now if someone would just attack our battlekeep.

Oh and people never learn, the new hype machine is already starting for Darkfall. It's the next holy grail. When will people learn there is no holy grail.

the popular war forums are already starting to look like AoC ones did, starts off all positive people loving it, everythings all new brand new, then the increasing negative posts to just trolling.

Im going to stick with AoC over war IMO, wars combat is horrible its clunky slow with bad animations. The RvR aspect the whole point of the game is utterly unbalanced, in aoc terms let say order was a demonologist, destro would be the gemstacked guardian prepatch.

PvP to level, pvp content from early to end game nice idea, but outside of the release rush curve, it does not work you have to pve grind like every other MMO.
