C O V E N is looking for singles and groups to recruit
Greetings,
The coven is a medium sized guild that is a melting pot of MMO veterans from all over. We are looking forward to runing organized pvp groups out in the boarder kingdoms, as well as taking on the pve challenges that are set before us. We are all mature members who are happy to help and meet new players.
We are accepting all levels from 1-80, as well if you happen to be part of a group of players we would be more then happy to welcome you. Really we accept all play styles from casual to hard core, pve, raiders, and pvp'ers.
Our member have previously enjoyed Ultima Online, Ever Quest, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxys, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, Pirates of the Burning Sea and Lord of The Rings online.
Send a tell to Hali, or Halie in game as well you can PM me here.
PS. Yes we have Ventrilo, no we don't belive in guild websites (they never get used) and yes our guild city is comming along nicely.

Really? That's a new one on me. Can I ask you a question about that? The question is: A lot of guilds use their websites (and, more specifically, forums on their websites), to co-ordinate themselves because not everyone is in game, or on Vent, simultaneously, to hear discussions. What would you use, instead, for that non-real-time talk?

In the past I have sent out a global email to all our members who have given me there email, as well use of the MOTD. At one time we had forums set up but everyone just talked in game rather then use the forums.

Interesting technique. Yes, I can see e-mail working pretty well, actually, for that kind of thing. MotD, in my opinion, is still a bit hit and miss as people need to log on before they know what's happening, but e-mail makes sense, definitely. I guess you could also use something like Twitter, too? That would reach people out of game pretty easily.
