Default What would balance Conqueror (and make PvP and PvE more fun and skill-based for all)

No, not more CC. PvP is already a mess of waiting your turn for your snare/root/fear/stun to wear off. That is 50% of PvP in fact.

Not more damage.

Not more tanking.


Take our existing formations and make them useful!

Instead of more stacked stats, give us snare breaks , fear clears, and "de-stuns".

This falls in line with the very purpose of a conqueror, that sets us apart from other classes, we must lead groups into battle past the obstacles they will face.


I hear conqs asking for more CC, by Mitra, every class is! If there is any more CC in this game we'll all have to learn to PvP standing still.

Do you think melee is borked? One root from a ToS and you die? This change would make one hesitate if they thought you may be grouped with a conqueror.

Our class should be the class that "clears" CC and pushes groups beyond it when they would otherwise be halted.


A group behind a conqueror knows no fear, and is not easily stunned as may be expected of a leaderless grunt.

Make our formations clear snares, fear, and stuns.

I agree! in another post I suggested that conquerors should even have an innate resistance (75%?) to fear and charm, because, you know we ARE supposed to be conquerors ya know? but I think that pretty much every class having cc breakers but us soldiers is kind of lame IMO

Agree this is a good idea! Maybe even passive innate skills that benefit us solo very little, but grow more powerful the more people we have in a group/area.

I think FunCom wants soldiers to be more prone to CC effects, to balance our Knockback resistance. But CC effects in PvP are really overdone now, and the few classes without them are screaming for more. Once everyone has ranged stuns and area fear effects, well, let's just say all PvP will feel like fighting in lag, even with 60 fps.

A coordinated movement by a group is right now impossible in mass PvP. Group members will fall behind because of the CC of the other side, and the group will have to either halt or leave the stunned behind.

Group PvP right now, is at a "standstill". If you are in mass PvP it looks like this: Everyone stand still!

PvP needs to allow for entire groups moving together (at least sometimes) and this is a way to accomplish that, and bring Conqueror back to its intended purpose at the same time. (Without the personal restrictions of the closed-beta formations)

Bring teamwork back to PvP, lets give Conquerors the ability to snareproof/fearproof/stunproof the group with the formations/orders we already have.

I conquer things by standing still rooted, FOR THE TEAM!

I conquer things by letting my group mates get hit by melee!

I conquer things by poking people with a stick and hoping they don't laugh!

I conquer things by hitting everyone in mass PvP hoping some melee attack me for imp GoDs!

Woot - Please hit my conq more...... :/ .... CC and ignore ftw

Yes, its an extremely good idea.

Making Conq's far more resistant to CC would be a lovely fix, not to mention the point of making commands and orders useful to the team in a real PVP sense which will have a true tangible benefit.

/signed. I would also like to add that they need to increase the actual duration of the auras. Right now they seem pretty useless since they wear off so fast.
