PvP t1 vs. Blue Iron Hammer Weapons

I know it will be difficult to calculate since the spell penetration gem on the blue iron hammer doesn't proc on straw men, but could someone experiment with the dps difference overall between the two? I'm curious if I should buy the new t1 weapon over the blue iron hammer that I already have.

If its a DT, which I am presuming since you are talking about Bels Mirth, take into consideration that Dark Templars are getting nerfed Void of Madness. Crit damage and Base Spell Damage buffs are getting reduced by a lot. Rendering Bels Mirth less effective. It only ever was really good when it gave +2800 spell penetration. Now, it only gives 1400, and with further reduce in magic damage potential, I would surely go for the PvP weapon. Its only 3G anyway..

But also consider that the majority of the damage on the pvp armor will now be wisdom (magic) based after the changes so spell damage will increase. Maybe this is an experiment for test live at this time.
