Production Update

With 1.06 and the new hardware configurations having rolled out relatively smoothly, a few of the team are working on a small update for next week to pick up the remaining tweaks and updates.

The majority of the team is hard at work on the expansion. This week has seen a lot of the remaining assets being finalised, with the new fatality and combo animations being completed, imported into the game and recorded for the ratings process. On the content side the team are now mainly bug-fixing and tweaking on the first three major regions while the final asset pieces come together for Kara Korum and Pai Kang, the final two regions of the expansion. With the final assets now sliding into place in those areas the focus shifts on to completing all the final implementation tasks. That will be that part of the teams focus for the next few weeks as the completed playfields get their final populations set. This is also the stage when the world builders and artists get together to set the environmental settings now that all the assets in place. This is the process for deciding how the lighting and atmospherics work in a playfield, you would be amazed the difference it brings to a playfield once it moves from default lighting through to hand tuned, area by area adjustments in that area, so it's a really important part of the process, and is the last part of getting to truly see what the playfields will look like in their final versions.


Guild Rankings List available

The first iteration of the "Guild Ranking" site is now available at http://guilds.ageofconan.com/ (please note the "beta" remark behind the title - the site might get tweaked a bit more the next weeks). There you can see which guilds were the most successful ones in gaining Guild Renown points. This page will be updated weekly from now on.
