Thread: Before you start a new thread....

  1. #1

Default Before you start a new thread....

Please make sure you SEARCH for a thread already open on the topic you want to talk about - it is VERY POSSIBLE your issue has already been asked and answered, or is in discussion already.

Please make sure you provide a CLEAR AND CONCISE subject for your thread! You are much more likely to get help with a decent thread subject than something like 'Huh?' as your thread subject.

Once your issue has been resolved, let a Moderator no so we can post an 'asked and answered' post and close the thread - this will allow people looking for solutions to the same issue to know what worked! Also edit the OP subject to include "RESOLVED" in the subject line.

Question: its also against the TOS to revive an old thread so when we do a search and find a new one: do you only want one from this month to be added to? Vs bringing in one from months or years ago?

Thanks, not trying to troll just a serious question.

I'd say if it's the exact same issue as the old (necro) thread, it's probably still better to revive it than make a second one. Your question today could be a repeat of someone else's from the past, or even your info today could help Funcom or other players from the past as well.

If you necro an old thread in the Technical Issues and Solutions subforum only, I will not object.
