Frustrating bug with loading screens

yes, the vicious AoC loading screens. I figured I'd shell out the $200 and buy an SSD to load aoc from, I figure 870~ seq read, 97000 random read would be sufficient to load AoC in a timely manner. And it does, minus a situation where there's a lag spike
It seems like after there's a lag spike any loading "finesse" is lost and instead of doing that nice gentle fade effect into loading screens it's a choppy, sudden HALT/freeze/wtf into loading screens. I've tried what I could in-game such as setting my max download speed to unlimited, and nothing fixes it. One little lag spike and my SSD is nullified, any fix?

Depends what the actual lag spike is. If its your internet, may not be able to control that.

Did you reload windows fresh on SSD with updated drivers?

oh I know it's my internet - don't do fibe kids.

SSD is clean only my OS and AoC are on it. fresh installs of both.
