I get the following message; cannot authenticate character server.

I have tried re-booting the game. I have also restarted my computer. Any advice?

Can you login to your account on the account page? Do you have another account you could try?

after waiting 15 minutes are you able to log in again? There is a known bug related to the character choice screen that takes 15 minutes to time-out.

If waiting didn't work, try the "repair broken data" button under options on the screen you get when you run the game (before hitting start).

Then go watch some tv. This can take a while.
