Thread: Raid Bosses & Damage type

Those numbers are all over the place to be honest.

There needs some context because firstly the damage figures vary wildly based on how much mitigation you have. Secondly the "time between attacks" is a bit of a mess. The Basilisk hits me about every 2 seconds or so, not every 4 seconds (1:33:44, 1:33:47, 1:33:49, 1:33:50, 1:33:55, 1:33:57 for example). I don't know if they have tried to average the number of hits over time (such as when it stops for tail swipe or petrifying gaze).

I would highly recommend anyone that wants to really evaluate what is happening downloads Advanced Combat Tracker ( http://advancedcombattracker.com/ ) and break it down for themselves. A very, very useful tool in ACT is selective parsing that can give you a lot of insight into what is really happening.

Boss hits with magic - stack prot

Boss hits physically - stack armor

Boss hits physically and with magic - stack both

Boss does big hits now and then - send DS or use CD

Boss does big AoE now and then - use CD or avoid it

    What else do you need?

Yes that's why it's called an average. It was numbers based several raids over several weeks so the amount of damage is based through several tanks. The time between attacks is also an average, therefore it's averaged over the whole fight.

    Everything was done with ACT.

Here is a document that has a lot of the damage types by boss. Not sure of the author / accuracy but looks good

The first boss in W1 crits when in second form (turns into gargoyle) it doesn't crit all that often to justify wearing crit mitig gear but he crits on "Leg Sweep" nonetheless. Hits hard if you're in low tier gear. One of those little things most didn't know about.

He critted even before khitai expansion was out.

also it is true, that Commander Yeng-Wang-yeh does all the kinds of magic damage via those circles, but his primary attack is cold dmg
aka Morte.. Morce.. Morte.. Morce again.. bah, whatever..
