Thread: Rotation

    Default Rotation

Hi. I am a returning memeber of AoC. I have a PoM lvl 80.
And i really need some help to get started. I found a specc With hybrid Divine/vengence. But someone told me a specc With 41/25/13.

What i am wondering about is what Rotation should i using?

    1. Solo grinding Kithai (or what its called)
    2. If i in time will do some raids (not yet, i dont want to be kicked) Lol

When i solo i obviulsy want to DPS.
When i raid i want to both dps and help With heal..

Here is for example a basis that would give you your bread and butter: http://goo.gl/bWjjJw
10/25/13. It gives you instant radiance with buff effect, instant smite, mana management and lance of mitra.

The remaining 31 points are to spend to your taste either in div if you go for avatar, focusing more on single target damage through Condemnation, or veng/gen if you go for immortal wrath using your regular smite/MSE focusing on splash and column damage.

For solo i imagine you will want to pull large quantities of mobs, so your rotation would focus more on aoe, column, splash than anything else:
    - try to keep lance of mitra, MSE, cleansing fire and radiance on CD,
    - for solo, keep repulse on CD too, it is a good dps spell - in case you need the CC, you'll still have your AOE snare to run away
    - blue always running to refresh your buffs and dots (buffs refresh every 15 seconds)- if possible just before your damage burst to benefit maximal effect

Then depending on your choice of end spec you'll go 'full out' with your condemnation/fast condemnation or immortal wrath. Stop using lance of mitra while immortal wrath is running (it isnt buffed by it).
These are just examples, since a large variety of builds are viable for POM. I am often running something like that when i solo, single target dps is low but that allows to pull a dozen together and aoe/splash will really shine: http://goo.gl/A110HI

I see this blue and green u write. So just too make it easy for me, whats blue and green? Wave of life is blue or?

It is accepted to call Wave of life the "blue heal", because of the blue circle particles around players affected by it.
Emanation of life is called the "green heal" for the same reason.

Radiance is often called "big heal" though it is not that big.

The blue and green auras tend to fade just before they completely vanish, good to remind to recast them in time.
However, most buffs and damages associated to Wave of life last for 15 seconds, while the healing part fades at 20 seconds.

It is good to recast it every 15 seconds if you have feated "Spiritual feedback", "Holy vengeance". You might want to recast it even more often to keep the aoe damage from "Purification" running, but if you cast it too early, it will not overwrite spiritual feedback and holy vengeance, and use your mana and cast time while not needed.

Since you talk about khitai and raids, i assume you are a premium subscriber, so you can talk to the trainer to get a second specialisation tab. That way you can easily switch between a raid build vs solo build, or a dps build vs a survivability one.

In the last build i posted, the rotation usually i have is something that looks like that:
    - "body pull" a large amount of mobs and pack them together.
    - rebuke (to soften them)
    - cleansing fire
    - wave of life (blue heal)
    - lance of mitra
    - radiance + repulse
(most level 80-81 even 82 mobs are already dead, that will depend how much dps in your gear)
    - if they are highest level mobs (84-85) you want mitra seering eye + instant smite at this point. The long cast time of MSE will be ok after repulse spell.
    - or finish the survivors with either rebuke or lance according to situation (how much health they have left)
Get a good shield and in main hand you might want some health tap from TOS mace or talisman and you can take a lot of them. If you were a bit too optimistic, you can still throw in a bubble or aoe snare and recover in a couple of seconds. If you are going to solo epic mobs with this build, then Avert thin eye and condemnation finish the rotation and you start it again from step 1.

I run all divinity/general no vengeance. Basic rotation; rebuke, smite (x5 to empower condemnation optional), keep blues up so holy storm procs, avert thine eyes for mad holy debuff, condemnation with holy storm, then Holy cleansing with condemnation. Usually makes everything dead.

How valid is this rotation these days? I just resubbed after years of inactivity. My first lvl 80 was POM, and I intend to gear and get ...proficient.. with it.
What kind of gear goes well with this?

Im planning to run around solo initially to get used to the game again, grinding quests, achivements and explore the world again. So a solo build is initially the priority.

Looks about right. Keep in mind that Lance of Mitra and Eye of Mitra are column attacks, so you want to tab to the back target before casting it, to hit all the mobs. If you hit more than 1, Lance of Mitra has a chance of doing an extra hit. I wouldn't use that build he suggested though, I'm a bit more dps oriented.

Keep the two synergies in mind with having Holy Storm proc before you use Condemnation. Avert Thine Eyes is a handy debuff, don't leave it out of your rotation. You can get "double" rapid Condemnation if you get Holy Storm first, and then use Holy Clensing after, to clear cooldown of Condemnation and grant Holy Storm again. Keep in mind the range of Cleansing fire, and use Smite after each Eye of Mitra (which you only use on mobs affected by Cleansing fire).

Please refrain from resurrecting in long-dead threads. It would be better to create a new one.

If you open the first page of the pom class threads they all date 2014...someone new to the forums wouldn't check for that, much less know when the last reply was. In fact, most of the class forum threads and topics need to be cleaned up as many are no longer relevant to the current changes from previous patches.
