As one of those unguilded players you might have run across in your travels, here's my take. Unless you are one of the core members of any guild here (i.e., part of the clique), you simply don't exist. You end up doing everything by yourself or with a pug anyway, so guild membership is superfluous.

caitria, I have grouped with many of your guild mates and they were all top-notch pleasant people, willing to teach a newb a few tricks.

I was not commenting on the quality of any of the guilds out there, I just wanted to be an architect. Matter of fact, I am a guild of one, just for the trader storage space.

I am beginning to think the architect thing may cause more problems than it is worth.

Well, unforgiven has a calendar of events and you can sign up on them. Other guilds operate the same way.

If you don't participate in the planned activities, people will probably ignore you.

If you're not the type to get involved people will ignore you.

You can pug pretty much everything in the game, or you can join a guild and reduce the organization and waiting time a great deal.
