There just aren't any games out there that quite get you into combat like AoC. and i'm not just talking about the sound my 2 heanded hammer makes when i swing it on enemies, or the blood splatter of fatalities but the collision control and the directional white hitts and all the movements that go with combat in this game. sure there are many class imbalance, flaws, frame rate spikes, buggs,no high level content,sieges problems, but damn this game is sweet when compared to most other junk out there. i only wish they had waited 1 year before release and many players that tried it in the first few months would not have left.

my wife was all hard for aion, tried to get me to play, but from what little attention i paid to her playing it i decided it was crap.

crap on a crap cracker with crapsauce, with a crunchy crap core.

im sick of high fantasy myself, my wife has to try every new mmo, its like she wants me to strangler her or something, i got disks for everything from eq1 and 2, guildwars, lineage, vanguard, asherons call, aion, wow, dark age of camelot, shadowbane, 2 worlds, neverwinter nights, to...well everything dammit.

and i hate it all.

you know the games i play most?

age of empires 1 through 3, empire at war, battlefront, left4dead, combat flight sim 3....

i'm really on the verge of strangling an elf or fairy here.

i want conan or a dark ages earth setting.

I cannot imagine FUNCOM is any different than Turbine or Blizzard; so, yes, they will still be there.

As someone mentioned, if the servers were to merge, and someone else active had your name, you will have to change your name when you resubscribe.
