whenever i meet a new player in pvp he always asks whats fastest way to get pvp xp and i have to tell him farm rocks.
maybe one day you will understand how this afects player retention or maybe game will die out with this shamefull mechanic as a long standing monolith to what pvp should never be , wich is in case its not obvious : tradeskill farming should not reward pvp advancement.
least you can do is make shrines of bori pvp content, by making the shrines receive body parts instead of green pve materials.
the 3 border kingdoms deserve at least 1 daily quest to hunt players, they are designed as pvp areas and they should have at least 1 pvp daily quest.

Or at least reward people for staying and fight, once their peaceful bashing is interrupted. Right now, there is just loss of nerves, time, resources and missed xp involved. This might be different, if the map was actually more fun, but at least for me, it isn't. It is too big and open for it, so usually the fastest cheatzerg wins (and the altars are too easily destroyed or captured, making resources lost). No tactics involved or available (at least for those who NEED the pvp xp. you can not expect them to ride tigers with pvp7+ gear).
You can also tie the rewards from a shrine cap to players and enemies in the zone or "recent kills". If no one is around, then a cap will give just pve resources (randoms involving at least one rare), renown, the pvpxp buff and some minimal amount of pvp xp (90 instead of 9000 maybe).
