I've recently started watching
Conan the Adventurer, the cartoon series from the early 90s.
Once you get around the initial stupidity of Conan having superpowers because of his star-metal sword, which does not slay serpent-men but banishes them to the Abyss by touch in a shower of sparkly lights, it isn't quite as awful as you think. Within the limits of the initial and inane premise, they do manage to use a fair amount of lore -- I notice references to the Roy Thomas comic books as well as to REH -- fairly intelligently.
