Xuhotl - arcimage of the city of Xuthal in service of great army Futilez - HoX PvP lvl 10
Bordhi - Khitai legionary - DT PvP lvl 7
Bahary - vampire and your nightmare - Lotus Sin PvP lvl 7
Shiwan - the last of Corrags - retired noob Barb PvP lvl 8
They are demanding, but fun.
You can choose between different pets and playstyles, have a lot of abilities to use, a great number and variety of cc's, and your biggest problem will be to find a tank good enough to hold aggro against your damage. In solo PvE, the necro really shines, as its multitude of abilities gives him the right tool for just about any situation you'll face while questing/grinding.
Be prepared for the difficulities, though. The feat trees are weird, some spells are just useless, the myriad of pets is more confusing than helpful, and there's the aforementioned aggro thing*. In Kithai, you'll feel a bit fragile at first, but with careful pulling and by using your cc's and pets wisely, you'll manage better than most.
When you master the class, however, you'll be a welcome addition to any dungeon group or raid, and outdoor pve mobs will scream your name in fear and pain during server down times (or whenever they try to sleep).
*Before T4 and T3.5 were released, I was proud to claim to have died from aggro on each and every raid boss the game had to offer. Still working on how to die on some of the new bosses, but the progression is promising so far!
