The first point in the list actually dragged me into trying the MMORPG (the first and the last)!
1. Robert E. Howard's universe;
2. complexity and effort that is required (though it is getting flushed down slowly): even only the current T3.5 can hold me in the game forever;
3. the combat system and PvP;
4. nudity and gore;
5. graphics.
If one takes one of those out, then all other aspects will start to mean nothing.

- Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
- remove membership bonuses;
- disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
- remove WBs forever on Crom;
- slow down the AA gain;
- lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
- remove AoE looting;
- add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
- fix the 250+ms ping;
- take the key away from Saddur;
- revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
- remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

My five are as follows:
1. Dual Spec - The right spec for the right flight!
2. Vanity - Looks do matter
3. Mature theme - I like the fact that most people in AoC are mature players.
4. Fun game play - Combos - Game Setting - Challenge – Graphics
5. DT, Conq, & Sin are the toons I enjoy playing the most.

1. The setting, art direction, gfx, sound and music.
2. The melee combat system
3. A real challenge for adults
4. The best dungeons in any game!
4. A fantastic guild (AFJ)
There are many other reasons to love AoC but these are my top five
