Are you talking about the Manual of Instruction that you randomly get? They give you free AA xp.
I would go 3/5 pressing, 2/5 decisive then resolve, random 18h to get further down if needed, 1/5 counterweight, stall the advance, then fill pressing and decisive. Then you've decent AA for a guard and tbh overkill to maintank most HMs since you only really need resolve, decent spec and somewhat decent gear.
After all of that you can get stuff like 3/5 in passive protection wards, forced engage and for last the critigation perk (for the harder hitting HMs).
