Depends on the number of people you can hit with it. I generally don't bother with it unless I need the stamina to win the fight or I can hit at least 3 mobs with it. Thats just what I have found so far though.

You only absorb once from it. If you hit 3 mobs with it, each loses a certain amount of stam, but you only gain as though you hit one. And more than anything it is for your group members (imp plexus feat). That plus battle cry can keep a party trucking.

As far as personal stam usage ie soloing, it's really only good for a free hit, but take it to pvp or pve grouping, and it really shines (provided you have the imp talent).

I don't think this is true as I have almost filled my stamina bar from empty before using this ability and hitting 2-3 mobs with it. I will concede it may have been a fatality that didn't render properly or something like that but I don't think it was. I will have to go back and re-test this after work today.

I hope I am mistaken, because that would make it ridiculously good. But I seem to remember it only returning a flat rate, I'll check again later to make sure.

2 things

1. So long as you make use of your aggro stances and skills you will hold aggro effectively.

2. If you have dps classes that don't know how to deal damage in moderation they are always going to pull aggro.

Keeping aggro is not just a guardian job. Your group has to work with you. If they go into full out super dps mode they will always pull aggro. In which case if they get killed its their own fault. This is true in every MMORPG.

With my groups I tend to hold aggro just fine as we work together well.
