Yes repulse is not bad but PoM can't kill much in PvP.
For PvE PoM is ok.
But than again ToS with totem and tornado spamming whatever is that lightning spell called will way outdamage repulse.
I would like to see PoM competitive in PvP as well.

So the PoM is not really dead ? Mitra be praised ! I can keep playing. It's amazing the things one learns on the forums
A PoM not being viable in PvP is hardly the same thing as the PoM being dead. But why let a minor detail like that stop you from making outrageous claims ?

True enough. PoM's can't pvp. Can't put out enough damage. If this is meant to be a pvp game, then it should allow each character type to kill at least another character type...Squishy Healing is all well and good for a 'wow' type game, but this was meant to be more of a dog eat dog place, which, I thought, was why they made aoe heals so it would be less healy healy and more killy killy.

I was under the impression that a priest was for healing its group first and foremost, so that should be our best quality one would asume. The more "killy killy" part.. well would'nt you roll a melee fighting character.
This is the first time I have played these sort of games so apolgies if I am wrong.

but were not our heals are a small part of the balanced class heal they dont really work that well for the individual so they dont factor in as a larger part of our pvp skill set
by this i mean we dont heal until they blow their cool downs and then dps them down
we just die or run away we cant really face any class atm

If you're using repulse in PvP, then you're doing in all wrong.

Lawl, you did it wrong.
Seriously, in group pvp PoM has some nice CC advantages over BS - but you don't get the melee "I Win" feature of the month, damage gemstacking.
...and repulse is lulz against siege weapons, so is fear.

I have a lvl 80 tempest, lvl 73 pom and a level 70 Shammy. The tempest is by far the weakest healer out of the three but does the most single target burst damage (not so good during cool downs though) and has a few CCs. The shammy is probably the most fun to play and has decent healing while being able to do a great amount of melee damage. The PoM on the other hand has fricken awesome amount of healing with the least amount of single target damage but a decent amount of AoE dmg (Lance,Repulse ect) as well as a plethera of CC and awesome survivability.
I find that i like playing the Shammy the most as being able to land a combo for 50% more damage each 15 seconds while triggering a group heal has just got to be one of the most overpowered skills ever!

I never had a problem with my PoM. She solo leveled almost all the way to 80 and has been sitting there collecting dust for over a month now. I always felt OP with her. This ToS doesn't handle nearly as many mobs at once. /Shrug. Different play styles and use of abilities?
The only problem here... Hit 80, reroll, rinse, repeat, wait on WAR, hit 80, reroll, rinse, repeat, wait on WAR. . .

Unfortunately it's true.... Funcom listened to all the moaners and whiners on these forums and beat us with the nerf bat pretty hard, and hasn't done much to bring us around.
