This would server two purposes:
1. It would give guild mates a reason to hang out in the city, and,
2. It could be used as a training ground for learning better pvp tactics.
With the recent changes, guild mates are no longer able to attack each other or duel. This would allow them to pvp in a controlled atmosphere.
Thanks for your consideration. If you support this idea please let FC know by posting in this thread.

Lets take it even further i'd say. Something that always facinated me in history was competative games, Like jousting and gladitorial arean's. Have yet to see a game use this in a long time. AoC has the gameplay elements to implement these rather quickly and fluidly.
Not bash on WoW, but i thought the arena's were a great idea, but seemed to simple just like the rest of the game. Putting arena's in player made cities would be a great function as Guilds could host thier own arena parties for the server. something like this would creat a better community.
To take it further, since we have mounted combat, there could be joustng on horse back as well. just to add to the flavor in this.
Further More there could be a grand arena made, where it is HUGE. so we can see something of the likes of the movie gladiator. Multiple-players in one arena. Could Even add this to the PvP punishment system, where lowbie gankers get thrown in the arena to face wave after wave of mobs or other players, and other player cans spectate.
