So far fields of the dead

And I agree, my favorite zone so far is thunder river.. when you get in and see all those rivers, the waterfalls and the water spray when crossing the bridges..

That's the one part of this game I think is awesome, the music.

The field of the dead is great with that lady that sings/melodies and it sounds awesome. Even though it just repeats the same 5 min track, I still love it. Very soothing.

SquareEnix has Nobuo Uematsu. Bioware and ArenaNet have Jeremy Soule. Now Funcom has Knut Aventstrop Haugen. These talented composers have done for games what the likes of Benjamin Brittain and John Williams have done for the movies. For all its flaws and blemishes, AoC is a real treat for the ears.

My vote for best zone music goes to the Cimmerian zones, especially Field of the Dead and the Eiglophian Mountains. I love the haunting female vocal line: it does invoke the image of a Valkyrie singing a dirge and leading the fallen heroes to Valhalla.
