I agreee I am not happy with AoC right now but it still has the potenial to be a great game and its far from the worst I would have to say that title goes to Vanguard.

AoC is the most dumbed down mmorpg there is. Hitting more buttons does not = skill or depth, especially when the buttons are already set and require no player thought to them.
The depth comes from group interactions which AOC basically has none of, you just AE spam everything.

AoC isn't tanking like some people seem to believe. The game has been out a little over a month and a lot of people actually like the game. Not to mention not everyone buys an MMO soon as it comes out so people are still buying copies.
You guys trying to call this a failure are really reaching. You may not personally like the game but that doesn't mean its going to fail. People just like seeing a train wreck and are hoping for AoC to tank.
You have a choice: you can either believe that FC is working hard to add more features and bug fixes as quickly as possible OR you can believe that their sole purpose was to get your money and AoC will never live up to its potential. If you believe the latter why are you still hear? Leave already. I wouldn't pay to play a game if I didn't think it had potential.

You guys are talking as if WoW didn't suffer from the same flaws. There wasn't much to do at 60 at the beginning. Alot of stuff was bugged or overpowered. It wasn't until near the launch of Burning Crusade that they really started to nail down things, however, even today people are still pissed off at balance issues. I think AoC is going to be great after about 6 months of polish and bug fixes. Almost all MMO's have stuff broken or missing for the first year. Alot of people are just tired of WoW and I really don't think an expansion pack is going to offer anything refreshing. We'll love the idea of playing around with the Deathknight and Siege battlegrounds, once that's over with, we'll realize it's all the same thing, just new gear. WoW is the AOL of the MMO world. It's time to realize that new things are coming around, AoC being one of them.

Who? Me? WoW wasn't my first MMO. Mine first two were Earth and Beyond, and EQ.
