In coorporation with Kevmar and his excellent KTT: Item Ref application we are pleased to announce the opening of the Wayfarer Item Database. This database is a reference lookup tool for mod and script authors to find specific AoC Item ID's for inclusion in helper scripts and chatbots.

Age of Conan: Wayfarer Item Database

The database contains a simple ajax-based search to make finding the item you are looking for as easy as possible. By clicking on one of the items in the display you can view further details including an in-game link, ready to be dropped into your scripts.

In order to submit items to the database you should first download and install the KTT: Item Ref application. Once you have the application installed go ahead and login to AoC and hotlink all of the items you wish to submit to the database. You have to use chat in some form to hotlink the item (drag it from your inventory onto the chat). You can link multiple items per line, and should be careful not to spam your friends or the local area while logging the items. Once you have done this for all items, go ahead and exit the game and then run the KTT: Item Ref application. It might take a moment to load, depending on the number of items it finds in your files to submit. Once it is loaded you are all done, your items have been sent to the database and should be available almost instantly.

We are looking to expand the database further to include more than just the item ID's, please contact us if you have any suggestions or would like to collaborate with us on this project.

Will there be a way to see the item out of game, in the future?
I would love to be able to search for items that are of a specific level, blue, purple, etc.

Other than that, I love that you guys are doing this.

The KTT: itemref tracker is a stand alone app at the moment, but I will add it to my toolkit the next time I release it. The more items we link into it, the more useful it will become.

How do we go about using it? Direct Database access? XML files? I'd rather not screen scrpe the webpage itself.

If someone has a need for service access please contact me, explain what you want to do, and how you are going to use the data and I will open the firewall to allow you to connect if you will be fulfilling a need for the community and not simply mimicing what we already have created.

The webpage is there so that users creating scripts can lookup the RDB ID's for very specific items. (For instance, if someone was doing a set of Armorsmith scripts they could find all of the Bluesteel items with ease.) You only do this once for scripts, as these ID's don't change, so writing a screen sc****r would be silly, as would direct service access.

in the process of writing a bot, and i LOVE your item database, and would LOVE you make it into an addition into my bot / searchable etc.

are you able to convert this DB into a .xml file?

Is there any way to turn this into an offline item database?

I do not mod, but I would love to be able to look up items and see their stats while not in-game.
