A public Test Server with patch notes before they go live would be nice.

"Famine" in its most basic usage means dearth, or absence, usually in the context of food.
Wouldn't a better nickname be appropriate for the Community Manager of this game? Ironically, it is fitting.
We are the starving ones. Perhaps Famine best represents us indeed.

Hey guys,
The arena quest was on it's way to being fixed. The initial bug from last week was resolved in the quest but another bug arose in the testing since then. That is why you will notice some changes to the quest. The original plan was to fix the issue with not being able to talk to the NPC and fix the issue where there was no additional option in the dialogue. However as above, another thing came up which had to mark it as still a bug.
As before we did receive word from the developers that this was being worked on because I made sure to tell them personally. However, as above it seems another problem arose and it didn't get fully fixed. We will continue to work on this for the next update.
Thanks,
|

why is this even a priority? your #1 priority should be to fix the damn out of memory crashes.

We have many teams working on the development of Age of Conan. This includes a quest team that only works on designing new quests and content for the game. As the programmers top priority is the top technical issues, the quest teams top priority is the top quest issues.

Famine -
Why wasn't the community aware of a fix to the quest if you had the quest in your log at time of patching? People seem to think you do a good job with the communtiy communication, but I will respecfully disagree. The only time we hear from you, seems to be damage control after something isn't fixed or put into game that we were expecting. Stop telling us that its being worked on, and start telling us its being fixed...

I was just able to turn the quest in, and enter the arena. The dialog continued as if I had defeted the NPC, but I never had to fight him.

I'm calling shenanigans. Bugs don't just 'pop up' suddenly once something is working. You might have fixed the first bug, but then you didn't test to see if it was working.
By 'you,' I don't mean you personally Famine. You're probably getting bullshited too.

With all due respect Famine, it is just time for FC to fall on their sword.
We deserve a HOT FIX on this. Not another week of failure.
This situation typifies why this game is on its way to disaster. Simple things, like pebbles before an avalanche.
Stop with the excuses you are making for them. We know it has nothing to do with you.
Put simply, the patch FAILED. Testing FAILED. Why? Inadquate resources is the only thing. I cannot believe everyone their is incompetent. But whomever was assigned to fix this bug should be fired.
