Error 217

Was having memory problems, so launched patcher to and scanned for corrupted files...now getting runtime error 217 and can't get into the game. Any fix for this?

I downloaded strangeui, and was having memory problems after that.

I did the file fixer thing...and after that I cant even launch the game.

What I did.
I deleted my security thing (avast)
I tried launching directly from the patcher
I did like 5 restarts
I did a system restore

None of that worked for me.

I am currently downloading AoC from steam and will try that. Do I have to delete my new UI? Is there an easy fix here I don't know about?

Run the aoc.exe tool as administrator. It should do it

Like I said on the other thread, just run the aoc.exe tool from strange Ui as administrator.
The game.exe is looking for something that is not there anymore. You just need to deactivate the aoc.exe tool. It should work
