Just curious which, if any, companions are worth using?

Rogue pet for 2500 Achievement points. Cinder Fu Dog, +6% movement speed.

Ghost pet from HOC good for WB. Adds CDR and something else that I forgot.

I honestly don't use anything else.

These and you should get "buff" pets from Khitai: gray lotus (major damage buff), yellow lotus (stun), golden lotus (small healing, very situational).

Ah yeah, I forgot about those. Grey Lotus adds 320 magic damage.

The achievement pet Rocknose or some such (pokemon looking soldier pet) does some damage but also will interrupt spells, even from some miniboss type mobs like the monkey in Isle of Statues in Arshadir. Its my favorite pet right now.

Kappas give you buffs to various stats, depending on which color buff you get.

The rest are basically for pulling mobs and very light damage.

The yellow healing pet (achievement healers) is nice if you solo a nonhealer class and do a bunch of questing/running around: reduces the need to rest after fights

The odd thing with this pet is it only procs a green heal out of combat. And most of the time it "forgets" to just that and just sits around all floaty.
