The best solution to this would actually be, not to go against the farmers, but give them "according" rewards. So imagine for example different kinds of pvp sets, depending on tokens. Certain tokens you only get by open world pvp and bori FIGHTS (aggressive set, more pvp than pve stats), some only by the farm pvp quests and bori farming (defensive set, more pve stats then pvp) and some only by minigames (balanced set).

Or allow crafting mods to existing armors where the mats for it drop only in the above described activities. So they would have no need to remodel and add new armor sets...just an "enchantment" system (where we were told they might actually be working on (or had been working on) for years).

With such a system certain people could not get the "best" armor, but farmers (new chars, alts, etc.) could get armor that would allow them to survive a few more seconds and get better through play actually (and not by access to good machines, latency and cheats). Only aggressive players would still be glass cannons, allowing defensive players actually to defend themselves if the initial assault failed etc. etc..

Also shop items could be valid, just never as powerful as the ingame things. THey should be intended as shortcuts, not to replace content.

They already have that, it's called t1 and you get it without killing a single person.

No, they don't. That is pure pve gear. Right now we only have a very linear progression concerining pvp exclusive gear boni, tenacity and critigation combined. And that progression is far from balanced at all.

And the difference from t1 PvP armor to t3 is nominal. Yes t3 is better but not once you acquire the full set. You can easily Bori 1-5 and not killed a single player to get a full t1 set. You can also buy it outright with all the weapons and accessories from the store. If you do the events and quests during the PvP week you blow by levels in days. If there is any balance issue, it's AA, the gear is realtivly balanced now.

the difference between t1 pvp and T4+ pve raid gear is however quite real, tenacity doesnt make a shadow of difference and is only useful against tanks who already have their own bubbles, self heals and lifetap on top of the best armor, protection and health pool (damage? ).

to have weapons earned in pve that are just plain better than pvp 10 weapons without any counterpart is abnormal, they should at best match T1 pvp power.

the same goes for a sin who already has all the protection in the world, he will have better of everything else on pve raid gear and by quite margin, weapons being the most.

and pve dps accessories are often better than pvp, while you will be stuck on tank accessories until pvp 7 if you don't do pve.

all of this can be nit picking but the weapon problem is quite real, a memory cloud and you can get better weapon than pvp 10 and by quite a margin, enticing people to do grind content they dont enjoy after 10x just to get a roll at the better loot.

give mastery AA in good ammount for pvp leveling, fix t1 pvp gear vs mc farm and im sure it will reduce a lot of frustration from people who want to enjoy only the end game pvp part of the game, open world and do balanced premade etc. ppl always been discouraged because of the pve grind, not becuase they didnt want to compete, as totally opposed to the beginning of the game, right?

Uh no, pve t4 weapons aren't better than pvp 10 "by quite a margin". In fact, while some of them may have very slightly better base dps, the pvp weapons are generally better due to having const and strong pvp specific stats. DTs can for example use the pvp priest blunt which has way more magic damage than t4 sword ( http://static.is-better-than.tv/armo...lords_mace.jpg vs http://static.is-better-than.tv/armo...ure_dragon.jpg ) while having practically the same crits and a little const. Some of the t5 weapons are a little better as well but if you're geared up in pvp 10 it's still absolutely nothing to worry or QQ about.

Hopefully you meant better than pvp t1-t2 weapons.

I thought you meant pve t1, because in theory you can get t4 pvp gear without killing a single char too. Last time i checked you needed to be pvp1+ for accecoires and more for pvp t1 still. I do not count shop items in though.

But you are right, there is exponential inbalance coming through linear AA advancement as well. In this regard the "new" farmable content offers a lot compared to open world or even minis too.
Solutions to this like a pvp feat tree, less passive AA boni, scaling xp and AA depending on power difference and situation and more have already been suggested too.
