OK - I am gonna try to hide my dissapointment over the new content released yesterday.
But still, the MOST important thing for me with this new content was the BEAR MOUNT!
It is an awesome concept, and FINALLY we get a COOL mount.
As a side note: The Wolf and Tiger mount was cool concepts too, but horribly executed due to the Wolf looking like a damn ugly rat, and the Tiger having thes silly saddles and spikes all over (STOP putting those frigging spikes everywhere for us to impale ourselves on all the time!)
Ok - so back to the BEAR MOUNT: Funcom - I applaude the concept and I was looking very much forward to riding bears.
HOWEVER: I have to say the quality of the details is far to low to put into the game as it sits now. I am ok with some kind of saddle on the Bear, and the armored version too... But everything looks so poor at the moment.
Where are the REAL textures ov the armor? The detailed engravings, along with some real patina of golden or silver/steel, or iron armor?
I beg you to look to the details, engravings and patina of the various T1-T3 armos that you have made earlier:
- Guardian PVE T1-T3 armor - details, patina, and engravings
- Conq PVE T1-T2 - details, patina and engravings
- the metal bits on the Assassin PVE T1-T3 armor - metal parts, patina, details and engravings
- the metal bits on the Barb PVP T1 armor? Or the social armor version of that set, for even more rough texture on the Iron plating
All of these textures you could use and modify and utilise designvise into the plate armor of the bear. Make the armor look like it was made by an actual smith with a hammer, and not like something from WOW that was printed in plastic with a 3D-printer.
- The part of the saddle (square edge) where the rider hold on to... please make it more detailed... you could round it of a bit maybe?
- How about making a "faded black" Bear (similar coloring as the Faded black horse) - to resemble a grizzly bear or black bear? Not entirely black, but like the faded black horse?
Oh and ONE LAST THING: TUCK in that saddle strap under the belly of the Bear... it is VERY loose - one could fall off with such a loose saddle. And besides - it looks bad.
