Thread: pls fix particle effects on dx10 (nvidia issue)

  1. #1

Default pls fix particle effects on dx10 (nvidia issue)

since driver 344.11 (18.9.2014 released) many particle effects on dx 10 are broken.

There have been many reports in the forum, but still no reply.

if you are use NVIDIA Maxwell cards, you dont can use old drivers, so pls fix it fc-team.

    Please excuse the double post.

in this subforum i can not post photo's. therefore I have newly created a thread in
    General Discussion

You could just edit your first post with new links directing to properly sized image. You can host them sur www.imgur.com or any decent image host

Fun fact : Not actually the same guy as the player named "Jaedelyia" in-game. Never though I would one day encounter a guy with the same nickname as this one.

Thought Dx10 always looked like that.

I wouldnt hold breath for a fix. Took them a year and 3 months for the last Nvidia screw up.

If it really doesn't happen with older drivers then it's an nvidia issue just like the Kepler crashes, report it to nvidia not Funcom. I doubt Funcom will update their engine any time soon.

However, I'm not getting the issue on my gtx 970 with latest drivers, nor was I with my previous 670 and up to date drivers... so I'm not sure this is an actual nvidia issue. Why are some people getting it and others not?

My particles look similar in dx9 high vs dx10 high.

gtx 9xx cards have broken underwater caustics though (crazy flicker) and that is definitely an nvidia issue (they acknowledged it when I reported it to them) not sure they'll ever fix it though :/
