The dynasty was founded by Yelu Dashi in 1124 – who led the nomadic remnants of the Liao Dynasty to Central Asia after fleeing the bloody Jurchen conquest.

Yelü conquered Balasagun from the Kara-Khanid Khanate in 1134, which marks the start of the empire in Central Asia.

The Khitan forces were soon joined by 10,000 Khitans, who had been subjects of the Kara-Khanid Khanate. The Khitans then conquered Kashgar, Khotan and Beshbalik. The Khitans defeated the Western Kara-Khanid Khanate at Khujand in 1137, eventually leading to their control over the Fergana Valley. They won the Battle of Qatwan against the Western Kara-Khanids and the Seljuk Empire on September 9, 1141, which allowed the Khitans to gain control over Transoxania.

The empire was weakened by rebellions and internal wars among its vassals, especially during the latter parts of its history.

The Kara-Khitans became absorbed into the Mongol empire; a segment of the Kara-Khitan troops had previously already joined the Mongol army fighting against Kuchlug. Another segment of the Kara-Khitans, in a dynasty founded by Buraq Hajib, survived in Kirman as a vassal of the Mongols, but ceased to exist as an entity during the reign of the Mongol.
The Kara-Khitans were dispersed widely all over Eurasia as part of the Mongol army. In the 14th century, they began to lose their ethnic identity, traces of their presence however may be found as clan names or toponyms from Afghanistan to Moldova.

Today a Khitay tribe still lives in northern Kyrgyzstan.

Yelü Pusuwan was a beautiful and strong woman and a fierce leader as per tradition she married Xiao Duolubu as arranged by both the Yelü and Xiao Clans.

Her husband Xiao Duolubu was a fierce warrior and strategist and was sent by his wife on many successful military campaigns.

During this time she fell in love with his younger brother Xiao Fuguzhi and had a hidden love affair. This affair was uncovered in 1177 by her father-in-law Xiao Wolila who executed the lovers.



The Khitan were fierce warriors and unique to the Kara-Khitai, the Khitans paid their soldiers a salary.

They maintained their old Liao Dynasty Khitans customs and were mainly nomads they adhered to their traditional dress and maintained their traditional religious practices which included Fire worship and tribal customs such as the tradition of sacrificing a gray ox with a white horse and had a touch of Buddhism.



They ruled over a varst and diverse population that was different from its rulers, the majority of their subjects were Muslims, although a significant minority practiced Buddhism and Nestorianism.

The Khitans used the Chinese calendar, maintained Chinese imperial and administrative titles, gave its emperors reign names, used Chinese-styled coins, and sent imperial seals to its vassals.

Our members are friendly and helpful and we work actively to keep a civilized level in guild chat and among the guildies. We are from all over the world and there are always people online. We have scheduled raids every day of the week on all levels as well as some impromptu raids. Main language is English but we have a wide variety of languages within the guild.

With members all over the world the guild atmosphere is multicultural and dynamic. We try to keep the main communication in English but it is possible to get help with translation from other guild members with knowledge in whatever language is needed. We have a lot of experienced players who will gladly help with questing or other things that newer players could have use for.

• Since we are a worldwide community we have divided the raiding into 2 main time zones.
• We call them CET raids and EST raids.
• European raids mainly starts at 8.00 CET
• Canadian/American raids at 09.00 pm EST.
• Everybody in the guild is welcome to a raid at an appropriate level,along with proper gear.
• For T1 we want you to be at least level 72 with appropriate level blue gear
• Preferably T1 gear for T2 raids.
• T2 gear for T3 raids.
• T3 and/or epic Khitai gear for T4.
• T4 and/or epic Khitai gear for T5.
