Thread: Legendary Cloaks for PvE

Its kind of clear that -hate cloak is for raiding and the other one is for PVE/Solo PVE/PVP.

In raids assassin pulling aggro usually means instant death so as Civilix wrote you need to stack up -hate. If you don't have enough passive -hate you will be aggro magnet and spend most of the fight "waiting out" aggro.

For group dungeons you can get away with lots more damage and occasionally drop ball on aggro pulling (as the fights are shorter than raid fights you can manage aggro better via feats/AA)so Slayers cloak can be considered.

For solo pve you can stack Slayers cloak with hyrkanian daggers, jiang shi ring and relish in death feat and get pretty sick amount of fatality chance so you are tearing through mobs like a beast. Not only its super effective (fatality animation does AOE damage, makes you immiune to damage and gives you 20% dmg buff) but also is just rad.

In PVP Slayers cloak is next best thing to dedicated DPS PVP T3 cloak.

So to anwser your question about cloaks: get both over time.

Thanks, did not know that. That explains why there are no crits on offhand in the log! In a long enough fight the number of hits could be estimated though, but the crit chance would have to be known. With crit chances being 27-28% on a T4 geared assassin, simply slap that on top of the other offhand hits. That also means my other post with the calculations was wrong, percentage wise. The approximate number of offhand hits would be:

Sin number 1 did 163 white hits and 96 offhand hits.

Calculated offhand rating is 100% - crit chance = offhand hits. With crit chance being 27%, and offhand hits being 96, estimation would be around 26 extra hits to offhand, being logged as white hit crits.

    96+26 = 122 offhand hits
    163 - 23 = 140 white hits

    122 offhand hits / 262 total hits * 100% = 46,5% offhand chance. That would be correct'ish.

Sorry about geeking out here but had to correct myself.
