no, cross-server tech was promised, which is the ability to seamlessly move between each server as easily as joining a new group/raid. AFAIK no more server merges were promised.

If they merge pve and pvp, it is imperative, that both playstyles can be still be played with the same options as now. So far i can only imagine this possible with choosing the kind of ruleset you want to use upon entering. Tagging or some duel options as in other games would change the playstyle a bit, imo.

Actually that was "postponed indefinitely" so I wouldn't say "promised" more like "mentioned a while ago but cancelled"

I would like to see one of the following done:

1. A total 3 server merge that sets the zones up like so... Upon zone entry there is two selectable options (PVE, PVP). PVE zones will be unchanged from crom. PVP zones will have player combat enabled, guards disabled, and XP from player kills increased 20%. One daily PVP zone will exist same as on Fury and Rage.

2. A shard system in which an NPC is able to port you into a mirror PVP side of the game which operates on Rage ruleset or PVE side which operates on Crom ruleset. For instance a player that selects the PVP side can go to say white sands and not see another player on the PVE ruleset; however, he can talk to that player on global. Let's say those two want to play together? They just switch to the same shard from the NPC.

Both of these options would work and require little effort on Funcoms part. We need to make this happen

Pretty simple. Go to a zone and choice is PVE, PVP or HC. Make all xp bonuses and rewards higher in HC.

Not that simple if you give XP/loot/etc. bonuses to certain areas. Exploits might be used.

This is the best option. It gives pvpers a place to consensually PVP with PVP XP bonuses that open world should have or does have on rage. This doesn't penalize PVE'ers for not wanting to PVP. You can't block out rewards for someone who just doesnt like to PVP clear and simple
