On a more serious note, can someone take responsibility for the forum development and get rid of the brown and grey font colors? It is still very eye straining and makes me see double. The contrast is really bad. I already showed that it can be fixed in less than 10 minutes.

Doing a mockup in photoshop is not nearly as difficult as actually trying to implement said idea.

I have forwarded your concerns about the colors to the appropriate people, and that is as far as I can take that, unfortunately.

Besides getting rid of all shades of grey in the color scheme, the smilies and changing the background of quotes to something dark... besides that, try and ditch every single divier line and frame box on posts and see how it looks, it is way too squarish and boxed in as it is.

I spend around 10 minutes modifying the layout on this page and came up with this.

Tomium, this wasn't done with photoshop, this was done with what's available to be edited with the current forums. This is all not just possible stuff, it has already been proved do-able. Please make sure that is relayed as well.

I guess prices on colorful pixels are too high these days so FC can't afford them anymore. That's a valid reason.

On nonpassiveagressive front: What would those be? We are curious. Secret World forums didn't get screwed, so we know this is not a companywide thing.

I'm curious about that, too. Changing colors of a forum didn't seem to be difficult to me - I've done it several times, and I don't have any training or even much talent in web design. What restrictions could be thought of to make that impossible (except the restriction of "not wanting to")?

This IS NOT Photoshop, but how the forum actually looks if you apply my changes to your stylesheet.

I actually implemented it, my screenshots shows it and it really only took 10 minutes in both cases. Our forum would look exactly like on my screenshots if you applied the stylesheet changes I made. Anyone with slightest knowledge will confirm this.

The appropriate people will tell you that it is indeed as I say and that those changes aren't difficult at all. If the appropriate people really finds those simple stylesheet changes difficult, then they should do something they actually have knowledge about and not designing websites for a company.

I am very curious of what character those restrictions are, as I already showed that it isn't technical limitations.
