Yes to confirmation box - although what would it say?
"Are you sure you want this AA?" And what else?
But then, as Funcom provide no further info on AA's outside the ingame interface, that'd be redundant wouldn't it?
Better just to put a big permanent message at the top of the AA interface saying "GO TO THE FORUMS AND CHECK UP ON AA'S BEFORE CHOOSING".
Confirmation boxes are great, but without any more info about the AA's, it's just confirming ignorance. Maybe the confirmation box should just say,
"Are you absolutely sure you want to pick this AA, that you don't really know anything about, and are too lazy to do any further research on, but conversely we haven't provided much useful information on either? If so smash your face on the keyboard now."

That upon finding myself in a PvP zone & being attacked, I get up, walk away from the keyboard and go and make a cup of tea.
Really of all the complaints about this game. At least the AA info is more accurate then the feat tree info.
Ive mis clicked AAs a dozen times over the years and between all my toons. Guess what it didnt break a thing. None of my toons became unplayable.
You screw up or make a mistake... move on.
misclick and no void of madness *kaboooooom* the tears generated from this misclick could revitalize sahara desert :O
Honestly, releasing a feature like AAs without thinking in basic stuff like this simple reset option makes the staff look very incompetent. You don't wait a mistake to happen and fix it when you can simply remove the mistake from happening at all. That's Poka-Yoke, and 5min brainstorming would avoid many silly things like this.
And waiting can be a big deal, because it's all "AA, gear, XP". Not everyone plays AoC all day, and misclicking can make you have to wait a lot to get AAs with are prowess based, especially if you don't PvP and depend on expertise's gain to level them. But more, its the mediocre-ness of the concept that angers people. It's so simple that makes us think if Funcom don't intent something else with this or are just too broken to afford it, and these feeling isn't good. Truth is, some people want it, if Funcom don't mind, there are a lot of other MMOs who do.
AoC is a great game, but it's this various "little things" that sum up and make every major problem even bigger.
no, one day you have all your AAs and you'll keep them coming at the point you won't have where to place those extra points or where to use them.
it's part of "learn your character", but seriously we already have the option to spec more than 1 build a time, i think that's enough.
meh...
