Having less players per instance so we get less lag is good, although the limit is just a bit too low, it seems to be around 30-40 now.
In my experience, there should be 50 players per instance, not more, not less.
That being said, it would have been nice if the boss HP would have scaled down accordingly ^^
Frankly, world bosses are already tremendously boring and horrid, and now with so few players, they take forever to kill.
It's in my opinion a big mistake, because WBs is the worst content in AoC when it comes to quality.
It's unoriginal, boring, counter-productive when it comes to player skill progression, and misleading, since it sells AoC for something it's not, that is very accessible and easily rewarding.
So making players use that content exclusively (took me the entire evening to do 1 kill on each of my 3 soldiers, that's 1 evening wasted doing that crap ^^) is detrimental to both the gaming experience and the vision of the game any newbie would get by doing WBs.
I think, this is a challeging boss who can´t be FARMED by lazy players for hundreds of times. You can´t jump from one instance into another because of the limited characters.
Remember: We are talking about a "legendary" loot and it would be ridicoulus if we would get the reward within 5 minutes from a lousy boss.
It was the first time ever that I got killed by a WB because I did´t know the new conditions. As a demo, I usually go into Spellweave and spam Shockstrikes. A bad mistake... Additionally I like the DoT from the boss so people are in danger, when they go afk or don´t move.
The fight took about 30 minutes which is 5-10 minutes too long imho.
Overall: a very good solution!

People used that cause of the time gained, but as someone said (Nuadh <3) the basic problem comes from a design flaw : boss should takes 50% more damage when in execution mode, not 50% less.
Kitting makes the execution boss last longer + fvck up melees and spellweaver. It's also one of the reason that boss takes damn too long for a tank n' spank one.
Nevertheless, kitting sucks, and people promoting this as a valid mechanism are really short-minded.

I actually like the reduced number of people for this boss because of its mechanics. Few people make the execution attack more meaningful. Losing one player in 100 does not have the same impact that losing one when you're 20. But yeah, half the life with the same number of people would be more fair if we compare that to the other boss I guess.
