Default Coming back from a loooooong break!

Well, I had an itch to resub to AoC purely to play a reaver barb. I don't have much experience with the spec and my time spent since I last play my barb over 2-3 years ago was as berzerker both in pve and pvp.

So what I'm looking for, if anyone would be so kind, is a fairly comprehensive guide on a build (must have traits and what's garbage), AAs (which mine were pretty solid last I played), which combos to use and a when to use them/rotations.

This will be primarily for pvp. I know I know, zerker is the preferred spec. I don't care. I also realize that there's a couple of threads already posted on the topic but those have devolved into people bickering and didn't offer much useful info that I'm after anyways.

First, I'm not a "pro" barb player , but I'll try to give you some help.
Currently, there are no pure reaver barbarians. If there are , then these players have insane skill and they dont die a lot. Hybrid specs are what's common nowadays in PvP. Example http://joharaoc.eu/feat?link=v9_1126...db641d71a1e84c If you already noticed , it has a degree into Bone Shatter combo. As we have Lashing Swords feat , you can jump around doing this combo and hitting almost everyone. Also I think that with Hammer and Anvil feat you can deliver pretty good damage on clothies. AM + Haste is just like a speedhack if you can perform combojump

Of course , you can disagree with me hehe. However, try to ask some people on Fury/Rage. A lot of good barbs play on these servers.

I appreciate the response. The build I was messing around with already wasn't going into the capstones on Reaver. Lashing swords was as far down as I had gone so it's good to know I was doing something right! I was running Blood Rage stance as well so I guess it wasn't fair to ask "what's a good Reaver spec for pvp?" than it was "what's a good dual wield spec". For the most part, you got mostly what I was looking for.

I do however have more points into the general tree for Escape Artist and Agile Mind. Are people forgoing those as well points in Toughness and Natural Protection because of AA? I do have max Liberation but my wards are only at 2 points each since last I played.

Good to know that I helped you hehe. Well , speaking about Toughness and Natural Protection and all these anti-CCs from General...it's really up to you. As it all depends in what kind of pvp you are interested , be it minis/CE/ganks or some other stuff. Certainly, for minis I'd go with full Escape Artist+Agile Mind because sometimes we cant run from a bunch of rangers lol. I'm sure you wont need a lot of points in Armor/Prot. feats in general when you max out your Wards and get decent PvP armor set ;]

I played for a while hybrid build with no end feats but you do need some anti cc.
It was something like this : http://goo.gl/g9m1n3

But its bit tricky build with a lot of weapon switching and not dmg as some other builds have.

Atm something like this is base of hybrid builds : http://goo.gl/AnxGUK
Goal is to have good movement speed with AM and haste, and also have nice anti cc and ofc dod.

And here is the question - Does it worth to spend 1 point in Finishing Blow? Yes, it's a charge ability and you can deliver average damage from this. However, player can miss some important combos on enemy if he acts slowly.

i ran this for a couple of weeks http://goo.gl/LGTO3C

was pretty handy in arena solo events, was using 3 ranks of wreck armor

wreck armor's combo starter hit harder then finishing blow when speccing rupture armor

I always specc it since its nice addition to burst. You have time to land some quick combo after knock and still hit finishing blow. Whenever i can i buff it with staggering blow. for instance: knock, stagering blow and than finishing blow+ATG if you specced for it.
Its 1 point and even though cd is longish i find it good.
