There was alot of hate against those who "cheated" in the voting. They did it because they love AoC.

Websites and journals talking about video games are well known to make publicity for whoever pays them, and to bash whoever does not, hence why so many Funcom games often don't get the attention they deserve, which goes to mediocre and retarded games instead.

It's not even a secret, so i don't think anyone should be really bothered about this.

On a side note, be proud to play AoC (or TSW for that matter), it just proves you have better taste than the average MMO player.

Why would that be an issue? AoC is rated M by ESBR, which is a purely voluntary rating body established by the software industry. Unlike state censorship, an ESBR rating doesn't restrict anyone from publicizing the game as they see fit.

Also, her us of "y'all" probably makes the author as much of a redneck as writing "Yo! Moose!" here and now makes me a member of Body Count.

Judging by the numbers (EQ 65...AoC 665...) the post here in the forum with over 8.000 hits would be explanation enough why AoC got that many votes...

Troll or not, the people claiming to have cheated made it on the comment boards on massively and they got scared that they would accidentally pick a game that's been cheating. Now we lost out on a great opportunity for the game itself.
