    Every week when the renown update starts, our guild window goes away, folks cant use pots and potions and if they open the guild window it says they are not in a guild. I cant even count the number of tells I have gotten asking why they got guild kicked. it fixes itself in about five minutes, but every week at raid form those are the most annoying five minutes of our week and truly unacceptable.

    Its totally unacceptable that your guild just disappears and doesn't exist for five minutes every week then of course the bugged rankings since the merge. I can't believe Funcom won't just fix it.

    I am totally with you that its not acceptable and FC needs to fix it but then again if you know its broken why go through all the pain every week again but instead start forming 15 mins later??

    I suppose the main reason is that renown system is an atrocious complex coding stuff that was done by devs that aren't part of funcom anymore since years. Even the lead dev has left looong time ago and that wasn't.... uuh, a good and nice leaving.

    So, don't expect a fix soon.
    Better to scrap out the entire system and gives bonuses and full access to every guilds when created.

    How can changing one "if" or one varable be complicated coding stuff?
    GMs even can do it manually (give renown).

    Completely remodeling it might be, but compensation or making a workaround is NOT complicated.

    Disable the limit or give every guild per week manually renown depending on member count and guild age OR simply move all renown to 20. This is really not complicated.

    This is something some guilds say a GM did for them. I however get always the answer, that the GM can not do it manually, and that the tools for this even do not exist.
    Last time three guildis and I petitioned we all got the same answer from four different GMs: We do not have the tools to manually raise the renown to the next level, even if we see that your guild has more then reached the next level (like five times at least).

    GM Raetos told me:

    "No it's actually impossible for us to actually change it even if we wanted for any reasons. The tools to change them for us just don't exist so there is no way to actually do it other than normally."

    Fun fact: Out of nowhere, no patch not serverdowntime, our guild popped to 14 at 07.14.

    Regardless, the fact that Funcom has not even acknowledged this pretty god damn big huge bug is beyond acceptable practice.
    Seriously, how freaking hard can it be to respond to the hundreds of complaints? At this point I doubt anyone would care what Funcom says, as long as they SAY SOMETHING about it. Hell, tell us to go get bent and that you don't care about us and our guild progression. Oh wait, don't tell us that.
    The "go get bent" part I'm ok with since you have pretty much already said that by not saying anything at all.

    I had a coder look at this a while back (some months). We were told it was fixed and we patched the fix.
    We'll get someone to take a look at it when they are back from holidays.
    As always, our coders are stretched thin between several tasks so I cannot offer a time frame for this.
