IMO the bigger problem is landing NON aoe 1H combos on this usa server
The barb WA combo playing with a 200+ ping vs bunny hoppers they miss alot but the bunny hoppers just press a button to target and press another button to DPS CC wat ever

We have server lag give 1H NON AOE combos more reach

The fact that casters (including rangers) are inherently twice as easy to use in AoC as melee is a long standing fact but barb has it worse due to a lot of other factors too. As I said, being a melee AND a squishy with no heals and no bubble is simply devastatingly hard, add to this the fact you have nearly the worst burst in the game (think maybe guards and BS have it worse when it comes to quick dps bursts) and it just becomes stupid.

Tonight I got in a BR mini when we had one ranger and no healers to the enemy's team 2 rangers and a level 10 BS. It was depressing... I couldn't even move. The two rangers would simply focus me and kill me in 3-5 seconds top, and whenever I used anything I could use to los them the BS would just come and stagger me. It was genuinely unplayable, I've no delusion to be a great pvper but I honestly think in that situation not even the god of pvpers could have done anything.

More than anything else, I think this is what shows how bad the barb situation has become: if you see enemy group with a healer and you have none you go "oh no we're screwed", if you are in BR and you see enemy has more ranged dps the same... any mini and if the enemy has better soldiers the same... but if enemy has more/better barbs you just go "lol who cares".
Barb simply has no tactical role whatsoever to play in which there aren't several other classes which are miles better than it, that's the sad truth, and it's a problem which goes far beyond tweaking this combo or adding that feat, it's just a basic design issue. Somewhere along the line, the developers completely lost track of what the barb class is supposed to offer which other classes can't, and it shows. The same happens in PvE, although the problem is a bit smaller there, due also to the fact it's non competitive and balance problems have less of an impact.

Whatever, it's the way it is and at this point it's far too late to hope in serious balance/redesign passes anyway. Guess I'll just restart using my DT/demo for PvP, it's what everyone is doing nowadays anyway.

You are talking about bad unbalanced minis and then talk about class balance, come on man, this is the most flawed argument ever. Barb lacks a role in pve for sure (kinda true for all dps melee dps classes) but in pvp it's fine. You think sins have it better or something? Sins have CDs, shards and die in 1-2 combos from soldiers and can do nothing about it - they get farmed in premades for example. Barb does less damage but also dies a lot less and is very good against soldiers (save conqs) even without heals and they can support their team awesomely with CCs and speed.

Yes soldiers make other classes obsolete but we already agreed about that...

i hate only premaids where i need to go with my sin.. those damn r10 soldiers with t4 blunt two shoting me.. even pom .. for christ sake POM, two shot me with instant repulse+ searing eye and light..

Gen gives only a few % protection for a sin, and dull pain does not protect against holy. Once again you are talking out of your ass, just like the barb section, hox section, on your other forum names ringofset and doomkiller.

If i would spec prot from gen i would lose much more important things, dull pain dont work against holy, even if i would be full sc/pvp and wear 2x immortal edge dagger i would die 2-3 shot by pom in minis, but then i would just lose huge amount crit rating/crit dmg. because atm i use t4 gear, 1x t4 ring, bb ring, pvp 7 cloack/neck )

PS. Barb is one hell of a class, been one of the best to play and one you get the most satisfying feeling after a kill. Its quite balanced compared to every other class. Please don't revamp this like the sin and ranger.
